Maintenance Tips
Everyone can see the pride you take in your yard. Give your outdoor tools the same attention with these easy steps, so they start fast and run strong through the seasons.
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE TIPS
STORAGE
Proper tool storage during the off-season is essential in preventing costly repairs. Store your equipment in a dry location, drain the fuel if a stabilizer isn't used, and refer to your product owner's manual for detailed storage instructions.
FUEL STABILIZER
Fuel stabilizers eliminate the need to drain fuel prior to storage and ensure quick, easy starting next season by preventing gum and varnish buildup within the engine's fuel system. If fuel has not been treated with a stabilizer, it must be drained into an approved container.
FRESH FUEL
Check your owner's manual for the maximum ethanol content and minimum octane requirements. If the product will not be in use for more than two months the fuel should be drained.
